Yunlin County Partners with Gogolook to Launch AI Anti-Scam Smart City

As scam tactics evolve, local governments face distinct security challenges. As a strategic partner in Foxconn Technology Group’s smart city ecosystem, TrustTech provider Gogolook (TWSE: 6902) announced a deep partnership with the Yunlin County Government. Combining AI with localized defense strategies, the partnership leverages the Watchmen System to proactively detect and remove social media scam ads and phishing sites.

Deploying AI Smart Anti-Scam: Yunlin Adopts Watchmen to Help Police Address Scams Targeting Seniors and Local Industries

As an agricultural center with an aging population, Yunlin faces unique scams targeting local brands, agricultural subsidies, officials' identities, and health products sold via single-page phishing sites.

In response, Yunlin deployed Gogolook’s Watchmen system. Serving as an "AI Agent" for the Yunlin Police Department, the system analyzes localized scam patterns and immediately triggers cross-platform takedowns upon detection, blocking threats before they reach residents.

Within a month of its June launch, Watchmen detected 413 high-risk local ads across 154 fan pages. Local agricultural products accounted for 90% of impersonations, often using fake endorsements from the County Mayor or farmers' associations. Over 70% of scammers used short-term, multi-account strategies to evade bans. It successfully removed 100% of reported ads, reducing average processing time to under 24 hours.

Public-Private Collaboration Safeguards Local Brands

Yunlin County Mayor Chang Li-shan stated:

"The Yunlin County Government has long promoted the 'Anti-Scam Yunlin Team,' bringing together the police department, government agencies, financial institutions, convenience stores, communities, and private tech companies to protect our residents' assets. Now that scam syndicates use AI to automatically generate content, the government must also use AI to upgrade its defenses. Foxconn Technology Group has long assisted Yunlin in promoting the smart city ecosystem, connecting tech resources with local governance needs; Gogolook provides specialized anti-scam technology to help local governments detect impersonation risks faster. By deploying proactive AI anti-scam, Yunlin protects its agricultural brands and government credibility, ensuring fraudulent content is detected, processed, and blocked before reaching the public."

Jackie Cheng, Co-Founder and Chairman of Gogolook, said: "Faced with scam syndicates leveraging AI to automate content creation and ad placement, traditional manual patrols are no longer sufficient. Conceptually designed as an Anti-Scam Security Operations Center (ASOC), Watchmen acts as an AI Agent assisting police officers by conducting 24/7 detection across social media ads, fake fan pages, calls, and SMS. It immediately triggers reporting and takedown mechanisms to reduce public exposure to high-risk ads. As a Yunlin native, I am honored to establish Taiwan's first localized anti-scam system for Yunlin County through public-private partnership. Looking forward, we hope to collaborate with more local governments to combat fraud."

Moving forward, the Yunlin County Government and Gogolook will continue the public-private partnership to jointly promote community anti-scam education. By combining technology with ground-level outreach, they aim to protect information-vulnerable groups on all fronts.
